Thessaloniki, Greece for 24 hours
Thessaloniki is in the North of Greece and is worth a quick visit.
If you have only 24 hours available do the following:
- Take a walk or even better rent a bicycle in the new seafront of the city and go all the way to Thessaloniki Concert Hall or in Greek “Megaro Mousikis”.
- Go to the Archaeological and museum of Byzantine Culture , don’t worry they are real close to each other and buy a combined ticket for better price.
- After the bus tour go to the White Tower and go all the way up for a beautiful view of the city and the sea.
- Take the bus “hop on hop off” near the White Tower and you will have a taste of the city.
- Go for a coffee in Aristotelous Square or in many cafes on Nikis Avenue having a beatiful view of the sea.
- Go to Tsimiski Avenue if you want to shop something or just for a walk to all the nice shops and department stores.
- Go to Saint Demetrios church and Ancient Agora which lies above ignite street and are near by, as well as Agia Sophia church .
- At night you can go to eat or for a drink in Ladadika or Valaoritou Street especially in the weekend.
- At night you can take a boat ride near the White Tower and have a drink and see the city by night…..
- Don’t forget to eat souvlaki or gyro with pita!!!!
